Roll-Off Driver – CDL Driver

Workplace: 5001 Herbert Dr, Navan, ON K4B 1J1 (Permanent)

The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of business.

• Satisfy customer needs for service.
• Ensure service is completed in accordance with established policies.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Complete an assigned daily route as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Drive to customer sites, lift and empty bins into front-end vehicle, then return bin to original location.
• Transfer waste to appropriate station, landfill or drop-off location.
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork.
• Complete assigned routes in a timely and safe manner.
• Follow all protocols while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities.
• May be required to climb up ladder on truck to inspect loads.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.

• Completion of high school.
• Post-secondary courses or diploma considered an asset.
• 1–2 years driving experience in the waste industry.
• Strong customer focus.
• Experience in roll-off trucks and front-end loading is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of industry is an asset.
• Preferred: 5 years of driving experience in a DZ vehicle.
• Preferred:
  Experience with Roll Off and Front End vehicles.
