We're thrilled to offer a fantastic role for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated West Vale team.

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys first opinion practice and is looking to work within a collaborative team where clinical standards are valued, professional development is encouraged and work-life balance is genuinely supported. There is also scope for someone with an interest in developing leadership skills in the future.

Rota: 40 hours a week. Across 4 or 5 days. No OOH's. If you are seeking a part-time rota please get in touch.

West Mount Vets is a well‑established first opinion practice with a loyal and long‑standing client base, supported by a friendly, experienced, and collaborative team that is committed to delivering high‑quality patient care. Operating from a purpose‑built facility, the practice is equipped with three dedicated consulting rooms and a fully equipped operating theatre, providing an excellent environment for both routine and more complex clinical work.

This role offers an exciting and varied medical and surgical caseload, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise your skills across a broad range of cases. You will benefit from the support and guidance of experienced colleagues while enjoying the clinical freedom to make decisions that are in the best interests of your patients. The practice works closely with our Halifax hospital, which provides its own out‑of‑hours service, ensuring that this position remains focused on first‑opinion veterinary care with no routine out‑of‑hours commitment.

This allows for an excellent balance between delivering exceptional clinical care and maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building strong client relationships, works well within a supportive team and is keen to continue developing their clinical skills. An interest in mentoring colleagues or progressing into a leadership role would be welcomed but is by no means essential.
