We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) for a secondary school in Halifax, available to start immediately. This is a key leadership role for a passionate professional committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners.
The Role:
Lead and manage SEND provision across the secondary school
Coordinate support for students in line with the SEND Code of Practice
Work closely with teaching staff, support teams, parents, and external agencies
Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and individual support plans
Monitor student progress and ensure effective interventions are in place
The Ideal Candidate :
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination (desirable but not essential)
Experience in a SENCO or senior SEND role within a secondary setting
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
