SEN Teaching Assistant

We're working with a caring and supportive SEN school in Huddersfield who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their growing team.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in ensuring every pupil feels valued, encouraged and included. You'll support learners with a wide range of needs, helping them build confidence and enjoy their learning journey.

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning delays).
• Assist with differentiated lessons and engaging activities.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, communication and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where every child can succeed.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• A kind, patient and energetic individual.
• Confident communicator who works well as part of a team.
• Someone reliable, proactive and passionate about SEND.
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
