Teaching Assistant - Autism Experience Required (SEND School) - Halifax

Academics Educational Recruitment is currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) for a role within a SEND school .

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide tailored support, both one-to-one/small groups, helping pupils to access learning and develop essential life skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children with Autism (ASC)

Previous experience in a SEND school or specialist setting (desirable)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

The ability to support pupils with communication, sensory, and behavioural needs

A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
