About the Role
We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Halifax. In this role, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needsincluding ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficultieshelping them engage in lessons, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
Help implement EHCP targets and tailored support plans
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development
Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Foster a safe, supportive and encouraging atmosphere

About You

Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
Able to build positive and trusting relationships
DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
