We're working with a welcoming secondary school in Halifax to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role where you'll split your time between supporting students in lessons and providing targeted one-to-one support, helping remove barriers to learning and encouraging positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

• Supporting students with SEMH needs across a range of subjects
• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions
• Working alongside teachers to keep students engaged and on task
• Building positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience, and wellbeing
• Supporting behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
• Helping create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school, youth work, care, coaching, or support setting
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of young people
• Confidence working with students who may display challenging behaviour
