AWS Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Hours: Full time

Agile Working Options

Hybrid – at least two days per week (40% of your time) in one of our offices

Salary: £70,929 -£80,780

Working Pattern

Some out‑of‑hours work and participation in an on‑call rota may be required

As an Infrastructure Engineer
, you’ll join our AWS team to design, secure and optimise enterprise cloud infrastructure. You’ll work across networking, automation, security and performance tuning for critical platforms that support millions of customers.

You’ll help us on our journey to becoming the UK’s largest Fin Tech by shaping secure, scalable and innovative cloud solutions.

What you can expect to be doing

Within the Cloud Platform Engineering team, the role involves:

Build & operate AWS networking and compute
  • Configure and manage VPCs, EC2, Load Balancers, Transit Gateway, Private Link
  • Support hybrid networking and enterprise integration patterns
Automate and modernise our platform
  • Build automation with AWS CLI, Boto3, Terraform, Cloud Formation
  • Deploy containerised workloads with Docker & Kubernetes
Strengthen cloud security
  • Implement IAM least‑privilege access
  • Use Security Hub, Guard Duty, Macie, WAF and Network Firewall
  • Lead encryption and secrets through KMS & Secrets Manager
Enable data movement & platform performance
  • Support secure transfers with AWS Data Sync and AWS Transfer Family (SFTP)
  • Lead monitoring and observability with Cloud Watch, Dynatrace and Splunk
  • Drive incident response, root‑cause analysis and service improvement
What we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Hands‑on experience with AWS infrastructure, automation and observability tooling
  • Strong understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP and core networking principles
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimisation and multi‑cloud environments
  • Practical experience leading production‑grade cloud workloads
