Electrical Estimating Engineer

£40,000 - £48,000 + Package DOE

Our client, a well-established electrical engineering contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimating Engineer to join their growing team in Halifax.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified estimator with strong technical and commercial awareness to join a business delivering a range of industrial and commercial projects.

• Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.
• Interpret drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support projects from enquiry stage through to handover.
• Work closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders are produced.

• Previous experience within electrical estimating.
• Good understanding of electrical installations, labour and material take-offs, and current industry regulations including Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety and CDM.
• Experience using estimating software such as Trimble or Amtech Pro Design (advantageous).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple tenders within a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with in industrial or infrastructure sectors, knowledge of WIMES specifications and NICEIC standards, advantageous.

• £40,000 - £48,000 salary DOE
• 37.5-hour working week
• 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
