About the Role

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of offsite manufacturing? We're looking for an Offsite Standardisation Manager with an electrical/mechanical bias to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development, implementation, and adoption of standardised offsite (OSM) products across our business.

Your mission will be to collaborate with various teams-central technical, offsite manufacturing, design, estimating, and project delivery to ensure that our standardised solutions are not only developed but also embedded in designs and consistently delivered on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Leadership:
    Champion a safety-first culture in all activities.
  • Product Development:
    Identify and continuously improve standardised offsite products in collaboration with project teams.
  • Strategic Alignment:
    Ensure products align with business strategy and sector needs, establishing a structured product roadmap.
  • Design

    Collaboration:

    Work with internal and external designers to incorporate standardised products into designs.
  • Innovative Thinking:
    Challenge traditional design approaches and promote design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) principles.
  • BIM Coordination:
    Collaborate with the BIM team to maintain standardised products within the Revit library.
  • Tender Solutions:
    Ensure standardised products are included in tender solutions and cost models.
  • Project Support:
    Assist project teams in adopting standardised products and addressing implementation barriers.
  • Feedback Loop:
    Capture learnings and identify opportunities to expand the product suite.
  • Market Awareness:
    Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our offerings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support product development and adoption.
  • Central Point of Contact:
    Facilitate communication and resolve challenges related to offsite standardisation.
What We're Looking For

Extensive experience in mechanical/electrical building services projects. Background in offsite manufacturing, DFMA, or standardisation within construction/MEP. Strong communication skills with a proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders. Experience with BIM processes and digital engineering (Revit libraries, data structures). Solid understanding of construction methodologies, costing, and programme impacts. Experience in developing repeatable products or standard solutions.

Qualifications (Desirable)

I. Eng, MCIBSE, MIET,

B. Eng (Hons) or equivalent.
