Clinical Manager (Integrated Sexual Health Services)
We are looking for a senior clinical leader to oversee Integrated Sexual Health Services at Broad Street Plaza in Halifax. The role requires expertise in sexual health nursing, clinical supervision, and operational management of the team.
Job overviewAs Clinical Manager, you will lead a team of specialist nurses and support staff, ensuring high quality patient care, meeting clinical guidelines, and fostering a culture of compassionate care. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with flexible working options.
Main duties of the role- Operational management of the Integrated Sexual Health Services on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Provide expert guidance and clinical supervision to support decision‑making.
- Act as an innovative and enthusiastic role model, offering leadership, guidance, and advice on operational and professional matters.
- Promote an open, honest, and transparent culture.
- Ensure all nursing care complies with trust procedures, guidelines, and policy.
- Responsible for the operational management of the Integrated Sexual Health Services on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Provide expert guidance and clinical supervision aiding problem solving and decision making.
- Act as an innovative and enthusiastic role model, providing leadership, guidance, and advice to staff on operational and professional issues. Promote an open, honest, and transparent culture.
- Ensure all nursing care is delivered in accordance with Trust procedures, guidelines and policy, ensuring that the policies and procedures are understood and adhered to by all members of the department.
- First Level Registered General Nurse.
- Evidence of Teaching and Assessing qualification/experience.
- Degree in Health Care.
- Experience in a Sexual Health setting.
- Knowledge, skills and competency at senior nurse level.
- Evidence of teaching experience.
- Experience specifically in Sexual Health nursing.
- Willingness to undertake further personal and professional development/training.
- Highly computer literate.
- Experience in managing patients through their care journey.
- Experience implementing policies and procedures.
- Evidence of developing nursing practice within a clinical outpatient setting.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the team, service and wider organisation.
- Seeks opportunities for improving service provision.
