The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client in Halifax for an experienced TIG Welder to join a highly skilled engineering team.

Our client is a well-established specialist engineering business with an excellent reputation for manufacturing precision components used within a range of technically demanding industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their team with an experienced TIG Welder.

• Temporary to permanent opportunity with a permanent contract available after 12 weeks.

As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality stainless steel and aluminium welds while working closely with engineers and designers to ensure products are manufactured to exact specifications.

Duties will include:

• Performing high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium components.
• Fabricating, assembling and finishing precision-engineered products.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Working alongside designers and engineers to ensure accurate production.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and safety.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience producing high-quality TIG welds on stainless steel and aluminium.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Fabrication, assembly and finishing experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Stainless steel and aluminium fabrication.
• Vacuum systems.
• Aerospace, pharmaceutical, scientific or precision engineering industries.
