As an independent veterinary practice

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering approximately 50% small animal and 50% ambulatory large animal veterinary care
- Managing a varied large animal caseload with a strong equine focus
- Working a structured two‑week rotation between disciplines
- Participating in an equally shared out‑of‑hours rota
- Providing high standards of patient care and client communication
- Developing clinical interests with ongoing professional support
The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced veterinary team during routine clinical work and out‑of‑hours care. Additional specialist facilities and expertise are available through the practice’s equine hospital, providing excellent opportunities for professional development and case continuity.
Candidate RequirementsThe practice is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care.
The ideal candidate will be:
- RCVS registered (or eligible to register)
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and team‑oriented
- Comfortable working independently while recognising when to seek support
- Interested in both small animal and large animal veterinary practice
- Passionate about building a long‑term career in mixed veterinary practice
Previous mixed practice veterinary experience would be advantageous; however, applications are welcomed from veterinary surgeons keen to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
