Operative (Gardener / Horticulturist) Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour

As an Operative (Gardener / Horticulturist), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our green spaces, ensuring they are a source of pride and enjoyment for the community. Day-to-day of the role:
Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, and tree maintenance. Engage in both hard and soft landscaping work across various locations. Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and equipment. Ensure all activities are carried out safely, adhering to Health & Safety policies. Act as a professional representative of the Council, maintaining high standards of customer care. Complete necessary administrative tasks including timesheets, job sheets, and vehicle checks.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent experience. Full UK Driving Licence (Category

B). Certifications in using pedestrian mower, hedge trimmer, and strimmer/brush cutter. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a good understanding of customer service. Knowledge of horticultural machinery and general gardening techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Benefits:
