Pay ranges from £10.95 to £12.81 per hour, depending on age:

• Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

We are looking to recruit a retail assistant for our shop in Halifax, West Yorkshire, for a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours across 3 days per week (including weekends).

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy and multi‑tasking across deliveries, till work, shop floor service, cleaning, stock rotation, etc.
• Reliability: be an important part of a small team and deliver best performance on each shift without letting the team down.
• Flexibility with shifts; you may need to cover for teammates and adapt to planned rosters.
• Complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position.

Many people start as part‑time assistants while studying or managing other commitments. For those who remain, there are opportunities to advance to Shop or Area Manager positions within the company.
