Community Link Worker

Post  | Scale 3-4, SCP 5-11, £25,583 - £28,142 per annum, pro rota. 18.5 hours per week, permanent.

We are looking to recruit a Community Link Worker to be part of the Neighbourhood Team at Halifax Central Initiative, based at Elsie Whitely Innovation Centre.

Responsibilities

• Work with residents from all communities, with particular focus on Eastern European and Roma Heritage residents.
• Build and maintain relationships with community groups and residents.
• Provide support and link residents to relevant services and resources.
• Contribute to neighbourhood improvement initiatives and community projects.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a paid or voluntary capacity with residents and community groups within a diverse community.
• Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
• Clear written and face‑to‑face communication skills with a broad range of people.
• Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting people living in neighbourhoods like Halifax.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Czech and Slovak.
