Service Now HR Software Engineer (HRSD Engineer)

We’re looking for a Service Now HRSD Engineer to help shape the future of HR services. In this role, you will design and deliver innovative solutions that simplify processes, enhance employee experiences, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems.

  Halifax or Leeds
• Salary range: £47, per annum (original salary range £42,)
• Hours:
  
  Full‑time, 35 hours per week
• Working pattern:
  Hybrid – at least two days per week (40% of time) at one of the office sites
• End date:
  Thursday 30 July 2026

• Design and develop custom solutions within the Service Now platform to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and maintain accurate Jira stories and Confluence documentation.
• Raise change requests and manage implementation artefacts.
• Build integrations with systems such as Workday and Microsoft Azure‑hosted applications.
• Support BAU queries, analyse production incidents, and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in system testing, UAT, and deployment to ensure quality and reliability.
• Assist with platform upgrades, including skipped records and regression testing.
• Stay current with Service Now platform enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Service Now Engineer with hands‑on Workday integration and development.
• Strong proficiency in Service Now technologies:
  JavaScript, Business Rules, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Document Transformation.
• Experience with integration protocols such as SOAP, REST, XML, and XSLT.
• Awareness of Service Now security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Service Now certifications and agile methodology experience are a plus.
• Optional valuable experience:
  Workday, SAP, GCP, familiarity with Git Hub, containerisation, Kubernetes, and automation.
• Understanding of generative AI and automation.
