As a Team Leader, you will lead a customer-centric team of associates in a single HR Block tax office and help accelerate seasonal tax business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single HR Block tax office.
  • Provide front-line leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
  • Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns; ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office associates complete work on time with attention to quality standards and priorities.
  • Build an engaging team environment through training and coaching to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
  • Prepare tax returns, as required.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in partnership with the Associate Relations Center.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
  • Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric mindset, positivity, and resilience; ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
