The Baker prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times. He or she prepares dough, bakes rolls, bread and prepares pizza dough. Also portion foods in preparation for baking. As well as some food prep.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and one year prior experience in a food service setting. Additional culinary training/coursework highly desired. He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self‑motivated, organized, and detailed individual. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
COMPENSATION- Depends upon Skills and Experience
- Sets up the restaurant with fresh bread and pizza dough for service
- Prepares and bakes several different items
- Prepares baked goods
- Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required
- One year of relevant experience
- Formal culinary training a plus
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
