City Planner - Ham Lake

Ham Lake is seeking applicants for the position of City Planner. This position is responsible for the administration of provisions of the Federal, State, and City Codes pertaining to building, planning and zoning in order to support the city’s growth and long-term vision, receiving and reviewing zoning related applications as well as making recommendations on applications to the Planning Commission or City Council and issuing Certificates of Occupancy, ensuring compliance with city regulations and facilitating communication between the City, developers, zoning applicants, and the community.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a solid understanding of planning principles to help guide the city’s development initiatives.
