The Bug Company, a leader in the live feeder insect industry, is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Production Team Member. This position offers the unique opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on providing top-quality care to our insect populations, which are essential for pet nutrition across various markets. Our dynamic team environment is a great place for a motivated individual to develop their skills in a growing and essential industry.

Please note that this position is not a remote job and will require your presence at our facility.

Hours will fluctuate based on the shipping schedules and the company's needs

Sunday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

• Feed and water live insects, ensuring their health and growth.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to promote hygiene and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and assemble necessary materials and equipment for daily insect care and maintenance.
• Monitor the condition of insects and their habitats, making adjustments to maintain optimal living conditions.
• Engage with ongoing training opportunities to remain current on best practices in insect care and handling.
• Work closely with the management team to identify and resolve any issues in the insect care process.
• Carry out all assigned tasks accurately and precisely to support production goals.
• Display careful attention to detail in all aspects of work to prevent discrepancies and ensure product quality.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to enhance workflow efficiency and meet production targets.
• Respect and collaborate effectively with co‑workers, fostering a team‑focused environment that promotes a harmonious work culture.
• Professionally perform responsibilities, ensuring courteous interactions with both team members and management.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management, adapting to the department's changing needs with flexibility.

• Proven ability regarding knowledge of care for living products or animals.
• Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Ability to prepare necessary materials efficiently.
• Skill in performing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Efficient in working both independently and as a team member, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor and a friendly attitude towards co‑workers and other staff.
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
• A willingness to adhere to all company guidelines and procedures, aiming for the best in industry practices.
• Ability to work in a dusty, hot, humid environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to stand in place, squat, kneel, bend, and carry frequently.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to count to 100 and perform simple math.
• Ability to use a box cutter and tape gun.
• Must be able to work directly with and handle live insects.
