Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applicants who are dynamic clinicians and educators for a full-time 12‑month clinical‑track faculty position. The successful candidate will be a doctor‑prepared nurse educator who will teach across the school’s undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The candidate will have experience in the clinical areas of behavioral and mental health including certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with expertise in teaching in didactic, clinical, and laboratory environments.

The School of Nursing serves 1,100 graduate and undergraduate students and collaborates with the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences to create innovative interprofessional educational experiences. It offers traditional and accelerated second‑degree programs at the baccalaureate level, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for nurse practitioners, and an online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in the clinical areas of behavioral and mental health.
- Teach other core undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Support curriculum development and evaluation.
- Flexibly teach on campus, online, and in hybrid delivery formats.
- Serve as an academic faculty advisor and mentor.
- Engage in service to the school, university, and the profession.
- Potential for engagement in scholarly activities.
- Participate in faculty development.
- Engage in the School of Nursing’s strategic plan.
- Actively participate in the School of Nursing community.
- Unencumbered RN and APRN licenses in Connecticut.
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
- Current clinical practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or as a certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist.
- Experience with curriculum development.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
- Service to profession or community.
- Commitment to contribute to the excellence of the academic community.
