Overview
The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate social service programs in accordance with current existing federal, state an local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures, to assure that thhe medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
QualificationsMust possess as a minimum, a BSW from an approved school
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level in which they are currently functioning.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development, administering and coordinating of department policies and procedures. Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Director of Social Service. Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of social service care plans and resident assessments.
