Pharmacy Technicians (Technicians) support our pharmacy teams to consistently provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care to patients and customers.

• Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation and helping pharmacists improve patient health.
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off stations.
• Provide a positive patient experience through empathy and personalized service, including immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and additional health care services where permitted.
• Complete basic inventory tasks such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns, and other stock activities.
• Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
• Stay flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores in the market as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS policies, including controlled substance dispensing, record‑keeping, and patient privacy.

• Obtain Technician Immunizer status through state‑mandated licensure and training.
• Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer questions to a pharmacist‑on‑duty.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report events per public health requirements.
• Track and document vaccine supplies and patient information accurately.

• Meet all state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure or certification (minimum 16 years if no age requirement; high school diploma or equivalent).
• Hold state‑level licensure and national certification as required by state.
• Complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements before full duties are granted.

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
• Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and ensure prescription accuracy.
• Customer service and team orientation: help people friendly, read patient reactions, and respond appropriately.
• Communication skills: verbal and written, active listening, and clear instruction delivery.
• Mathematical reasoning: calculate doses, day‑supply, and bottle counts.
• Problem resolution: select best action in challenging interactions.
• Physical demands: remain mobile and upright, lift up to 20 lbs, move items, type, and perform precise tasks; maintain clear visual acuity.

• 1‑3 years of prior Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Willingness to work in the home store and across the market as business needs arise.
