General Manager

I’m currently supporting an established aerospace manufacturing business with the appointment of a General Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong metal manufacturing background to take ownership of operational performance, lead Continuous Improvement and support significant business growth.

The successful candidate will lead a major aerospace metal manufacturing operation, with additional oversight of a second facility.

The business has significant potential to increase output and needs a hands‑on leader who can challenge existing practices, strengthen accountability and deliver measurable improvements across the operation.

• Improve throughput, productivity, capacity utilisation and on‑time delivery
• Lead Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives to reduce waste, scrap, rework and operating costs
• Identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvements using KPIs and structured problem solving
• Develop the leadership team, strengthen accountability and drive cultural change
• Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain
• Oversee a second forging facility, with visits expected once or twice per month

• Senior leadership experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing
• Strong Metal Manufacturing background
• Proven results in productivity, quality, delivery, capacity or cost improvement
• Strong Lean, Continuous Improvement and change management experience
• Ability to challenge the status quo and build a results-focused culture
• Forging and multi‑site experience would be advantageous

Location: Connecticut, with monthly travel to a second regional facility.
