Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders, in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BLS certified
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
- Preferred experience with documenting in EMR systems (training provided)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
