Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager
Whitney Rehabilitation Care Centeris seeking a compassionate and dedicatedRegistered Nurse (RN) Managerto oversee patients and manage an assigned nursing team in our facility. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a Registered Nurse and can handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude.

Requirements of the RN Unit Manager:
- Registered Nurse with current state license.
- A minimum two years of nursing experience in long term care.
- Must have a current/active CPR certification.
- Knowledge of policy and procedure required by D.P.H. in long term care.
- Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
Must be vaccinated for Covid 19.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the RN Unit Manager:
- Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
- Supervise nursing staff assigned.
- Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
- Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status of residents.
- Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
- Assign duties to LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
- Attend resident care conference meetings and provide follow-up as needed.
- Manage the unit to ensure that the resident's clinical and care needs are being met.
