As a Shortage Control Associate you will play a key role in maintaining a secure shopping environment by monitoring store entrances and exits, engaging positively with customers, and enforcing theft prevention protocols.

• Maintain command presence with a professional appearance and security awareness.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Securely monitor entrances throughout the shift to reduce opportunities for theft.
• Report theft incidents and suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates to enforce safety standards.
• Educate and train associates on shortage reduction programs.

• Wear the designated dress standards, radio, and earpiece.
• Stand positioned at the front of the store and remain vigilant.
• Create a safe environment that deters theft.

• Master knowledge of high shortage areas and depletion prevention programs.
• Communicate theft prevention strategies during store rallies.
• Understand your role in safeguarding store assets.

• Support training of associates on shortage reduction processes.
• Model safety practices and promptly address unsafe situations.

• Preferred 1+ years in customer service, retail, asset protection, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring the store.
• Confidentiality, analytical, and communication skills required.
• Prior experience with fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Leadership skills to foster productive business relationships.

Base Pay: $16.94 per hour
