OM Seating is a vibrant, warm, design-forward manufacturer of office seating. As part of OM Seating Accounting team, our Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for AR related tasks, processing sales commissions/SPIFF , serving as a backup for the team members as needed , as well as assisting with other various accounting tasks as assigned.

Under this role you will:

  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
  • Generate weekly aging report analysis with collection updates
  • Review, adjust and process SPIFF and sales commission by 15th of each month
  • Prepare and set up new customer accounts
  • Prepare and send monthly sales reports to sales reps
  • Review and promptly respond to customer emails for various accounting related matters within 48 hours
  • Work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Collaboratively work with accounting team for End of the Month closing
  • Effectively communicate with other departments to resolve customer order issues as they arise
  • Email daily customer invoices
  • Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
  • Maintain customer record in ERP and update as needed
  • Serve as back up for the rest of the accounting team on their absence
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma (Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred)
  • 2-3 years experience with accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Calm and professional demeanor

Details:

  • Job Type: Part-Time (30+ hours a week)
  • Pay Rate $22.00 – $25.00 Compensation may vary commensurate with experience.
