Senior Accountant
Location:
Ontario
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with partnership standards for clients in a variety of businesses and not-for-profit enterprises.
- Leading teams on a variety of assurance engagements.
- Auditing financial statements of business clients.
- Effective communication with clients, government agencies, partners, and team.
- Keeping partners, managers, and other team members informed on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues.
- Participating in leadership activities both internally and externally (e.g., performance review process, recruitment, advocating positive team morale).
- Other duties as assigned.
- CPA designation (or in pursuit of designation) will be an asset.
- Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting.
- Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Case Ware, Quick Books, Sage/Simply Accounting, Tax Prep, Excel.
- Strong financial accounting skills.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship‑building skills and professionalism.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task competing priorities.
