PROFILE
Seeking a professional and reliable career receptionist to be the face and voice of our office. You will be responsible for greeting and directing clients and taking incoming and outgoing telephone calls. This position receives some direction or guidance; most tasks and objectives are accomplished independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and direct clients and deliveries at reception desk.
Coordinate scheduling of conference and meeting rooms.
Keep visitors log and/or issue visitor passes.
Receive and relay incoming calls, taking messages where necessary.
Accept legal documents on behalf of the Firm.
Place catering orders and complete billing information, before forwarding to accounting.
Place collect and overseas calls and arrange conference calls.
Any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
Experience managing multiple switchboard lines
Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary
Handle stress in a business-like manner
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma

The starting range for this role is $45,000 to $55,000. Starting salary will be determined based on an applicant’s individual skills, competencies and unique qualifications. Gowling WLG employees have the potential to exceed this range based on tenure and performance.
This position is currently vacant and is open to both internal and external candidates. Gowling WLG is recruiting for this role to support ongoing firm needs and team operations.
