Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to our healthcare professionals in a team setting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Booking patient appointments, greeting patients, and answering the HFHT phone line
- Liaising with patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Maintaining patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information
- Scanning and faxing patient information and consultation reports
- Liaising with practice–based primary care teams
- Overseeing and monitoring room bookings and scheduling
- Supporting the development of, and ongoing spread of groups
- May be required to support on‑site, in‑person groups (various locations TBD in Hamilton)

- BA or diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent
- Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and initiative
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to multi‑task and prioritize while working within a busy environment
- Experience with EMR (Practice Solutions Suite) an asset
- Previous experience in a clinical setting an asset
- Healthcare of Ontario Pension (HOOPP)
