The City of Hamilton is hiring an Administrative Secretary for the Licensing & By-Law Services division. This position focuses on providing comprehensive administrative support and communication management.
As an integral part of the team, you will report to the Managers and perform essential administrative duties. Key responsibilities include scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, managing office systems, and supporting staff training activities. Your skills will ensure effective operation within the municipal law enforcement framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compose and proofread correspondence for management
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and training sessions
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoices
• Organize and manage office supplies and equipment
• Provide backup support to fellow administrative staff
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in office administration
• Familiarity with data management and invoicing software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
