Be a pivotal part of Woodbine Entertainment as a Race Office Administrator during live races. This position involves critical administrative duties interfacing with trainers and racing officials.
As you report to the Racing Secretary, your role will encompass the administration of the Standard bred Department's operations. Engage closely with horse people while taking entries and confirming important race details. You will also assist with vital presentations and departmental initiatives, making your position essential to the racing events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take entries via phone for upcoming races
• Confirm eligibility and race information from condition sheets
• Liaise with horse trainers and AGCO Judges effectively
• Accept changes to equipment and drivers as needed
• Update claiming authorizations and security databases
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of horse racing industry practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Windows
• 1-2 years of relevant office experience
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
