Position: Hamilton Housing Services Clerk Role

The Housing Services Clerk will report to a Housing Services Supervisor or Manager while performing critical administrative, clerical, and financial tasks within the Housing Services Division. This role prioritizes providing direct service to clients, ensuring they receive the support necessary for stable housing. You must manage multiple activities with minimal supervision, adhering to deadlines and procedures for effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule meetings and transcribe minutes accurately

• Process mail and maintain confidential client records

• Accept applications for housing programs and benefits

• Calculate rent for supplement and allowance tenants

• Conduct eligibility reviews for clients on waiting lists

Requirements:

• Administrative experience in business office management

• Knowledge of housing agencies/resources preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
