As an Automotive Technician, your primary responsibilities include diagnosing, testing, and repairing vehicle systems, conducting preventative maintenance, inspecting critical components such as brakes, fuel systems, and engines, and mentoring apprentices while maintaining a safe work environment.

• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as outlined on RO with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and OEM standards.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer communication.
• Conduct multi‑point inspections and recommend repairs to ensure safety and reliability before vehicle return.
• Document all work performed on the vehicle in the repair order, ensuring compliance with OEM standards and warranty payment procedures.
• Maintain an inventory of common technician tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
• Stay abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training classes as required.
• Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.

• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
• Red Seal Certification considered an asset.
• Completion of a related post‑secondary program and/or training courses.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.
