About

The Role
We are seeking a  Site Safety Officer  to support an  industrial construction project in Hamilton for a 8-12 week contract . This is a field-based, client-facing role focused on ensuring site safety, compliance, and hazard mitigation.
You will work closely with project teams, project owners and sub-contractors to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and provide actionable reports
Support implementation of health and safety programs on site
Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance
Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations
Assist with incident investigations and reporting
Liaise with regulatory bodies when required
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)

Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
CRSP, NCSO or equivalent is a valuable asset
