About The Role

We are seeking a Site Safety Officer to support an industrial construction project in Hamilton for a 8-12 week contract
. This is a field-based, client-facing role focused on ensuring site safety, compliance, and hazard mitigation.

You will work closely with project teams, project owners and sub-contractors to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and provide actionable reports
• Support implementation of health and safety programs on site
• Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance
• Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
• Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting
• Liaise with regulatory bodies when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
• Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)
• Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• CRSP, NCSO or equivalent is a valuable asset
