Position: Welcome Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
The Welcome Specialist sets the tone for an excellent customer experience by greeting and directing the customer to get the appropriate resolution to build customer loyalty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Approaches and greets every visitor to the store, promptly and professionally in order to encourage a positive customer experience in the Retail store

Diffuses potential confrontational situations by exercising patience and practicing good techniques

Assesses the customer's situation to determine the sales/service request as well as merchandise desired

Enters the customer in the relevant queue along with the reason for visiting the

Assists waiting customers with preliminary paperwork that will be required for their transaction, i.e. completion of subscriber forms

Maintains control of the customer queues, which includes setting an expectation of wait time for each customer

Promotes products and services to customers as they wait; and ultimately transitioning each customer to a sales/service representative

Acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of products and services by attending training and reviewing product literature

Remains flexible and open to perform additional and different duties as business demands

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Exceptional verbal communication skills

Excellent negotiations Skills

Ability to make recommendations for potential sales

Aptitude to learn communication products and services

Passionate about providing a high level of customer service

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with composure and efficiency

Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes Saturdays

Willingness to learn the company’s products and services

The ability to continuously stand throughout the workday

Ability to work overtime as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience working in a large team

Proven high level customer service in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience in a sales environment
