YRES Event Support Assistant; CYO Camp Marydale

Position: YRES Event Support Assistant (CYO Camp Marydale)
York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Event Support Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.
The YRES Event Support Assistant is responsible for:
Arriving independently to the event on-time and in professional attire
Assisting with station set-up and clean-up
Confidently greeting and directing guests upon arrival
Acting as tour guides to help families explore the campgrounds
Supporting camp activities and general operations as a floater
Monitoring water activity areas to ensure visitor safety (Lifeguards, if certified)
Helping families discover exciting camp programs
Providing feedback on the event

Shift:  11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Who We're Looking For:
Minimum age: 12
Able to independently arrive to work on time
Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
Can commit to scheduled time of the shift
Fluency in English
Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
