Customer Service Representative - Auto Claims

About the role

Customer Service Representative in the Claims Department of the Customer Service Centre.

This role is a new addition to a growing team.

• Be a subject matter expert on policies, products, services and initiatives.
• Answer inquiry and new claims calls on an inbound queue while applying knowledge, problem‑solving skills and making on‑the‑spot decisions.
• Accurately document files to reflect conversations and actions taken on claims.
• Initiate difficult conversations with empathy and clarity regarding policy, insurance coverage, or operational challenges.
• Meet daily call‑centre metrics while handling a high volume of inbound calls.
• Provide quality customer service, maintaining low hold times and documenting files clearly.
• Execute multiple tasks aligning with changing priorities and time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Participate in a fast‑evolving environment and take on ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

• Insurance experience considered an asset.

• Flexible to work 35 hours a week during business hours Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and statutory holidays.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada (no Canadian work experience required).

• Salary range: $43,600 – $53,200 (based on 35‑hour workweek).
• Annual bonus target 5% of base salary, with potential payout up to double.
• Employee Share Purchase Plan – Intact matches 50% of net shares.

• Option to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year.
