About the role
Customer Service Representative in the Claims Department of the Customer Service Centre.
This role is a new addition to a growing team.
Responsibilities- Be a subject matter expert on policies, products, services and initiatives.
- Answer inquiry and new claims calls on an inbound queue while applying knowledge, problem‑solving skills and making on‑the‑spot decisions.
- Accurately document files to reflect conversations and actions taken on claims.
- Initiate difficult conversations with empathy and clarity regarding policy, insurance coverage, or operational challenges.
- Meet daily call‑centre metrics while handling a high volume of inbound calls.
- Provide quality customer service, maintaining low hold times and documenting files clearly.
- Execute multiple tasks aligning with changing priorities and time‑sensitive deadlines.
- Participate in a fast‑evolving environment and take on ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

- Insurance experience considered an asset.

- Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships.
- Flexible to work 35 hours a week during business hours Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and statutory holidays.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada (no Canadian work experience required).
- Salary range: $43,600 – $53,200 (based on 35‑hour workweek).
- Annual bonus target 5% of base salary, with potential payout up to double.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan – Intact matches 50% of net shares.
- Flexible work arrangements and a hybrid work model.
- Option to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year.
