Lead the Maker Space at YWCA Hamilton as the Economic Development Coordinator. This role focuses on daily operations and educational programming within a vibrant community.
As part of the Centre of Innovation, you will coordinate Maker Space operations, liaise with educators, and engage community members in exciting events.
Your role is critical in ensuring the Maker Space is well-maintained and functions effectively, while also cultivating strong relationships among clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute daily Maker Space operations effectively
• Organize community participation and events
• Develop educational programs with staff
• Ensure equipment maintenance and address issues
• Collect and respond to user feedback
Requirements:
• Between 15 and 30 years old at employment start
• Enrolled in or completed relevant post-secondary education
• Experience with educational program management
• Knowledge of Maker Space technologies and safety practices
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police check
