Regina Catholic Education Center, an exceptional pre-K to 12th grade school in Iowa City, seeks an elementary teacher aide for Kindergarten or 1st grade.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Teacher aides support Kindergarten and/or 1st grade teachers with classroom activities and student learning. They also supervise students during recess times before and during the school day.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

• Assist teachers with lessons and activities.
• Help students with learning and classroom routines.
• Supervise and engage students.
• Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage students proactively and maintain discipline during recess.

* Duties may include outdoor and indoor supervision.

Requirements:

• Experience working with school-age children.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Embrace the mission of Catholic education and exemplify Gospel values.
