Hamilton Montessori School, located in Stoney Creek, is looking to assemble a team of Montessori Teachers to be part of our growing Montessori school community. HMS offers an excellent working environment, supported by an administrative team. The candidate must provide a nurturing and stimulating environment to facilitate student growth, independence, and exploration, using sound teaching methods, classroom management, and communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and positive prepared Montessori Elementary classroom environment.
• Provide a caring and nurturing atmosphere throughout the classroom and school.
• Be loving, patient, reliable, responsible, mature, hard‑working, adaptable, flexible, and organized.
• Possess a positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills, establishing rapport with all stakeholders.
• Be genuinely interested in working with children.
• Create Lower Elementary Montessori lesson plans that follow the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the student.
• Independently produce formative and summative student assessments.

Engage in school events and provide supervision and support during student outings, attend seminars and professional workshops as required, adhere to school policies and guidelines, plan and implement a Lower Elementary Montessori program, and demonstrate excellent leadership, classroom, time management, and organizational skills. Foster relationships with families via communication and active involvement, maintain open communication with parents and conduct interviews as requested, collaborate effectively with co‑workers, families, community partners, and students, and prioritize student safety while promoting equal opportunities.

• Lower Elementary Montessori Diploma (MACTE, AMI) or
  
  B.Ed / B.A / M.A in a related discipline is required.
• Current Standard First Aid/CPR‑C certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Current Vulnerable Screening Police Record Check (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Willingness to obtain accredited Montessori Elementary credentials, if required.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
• A lifelong learner and good role model for students.

$30–$32 per hour (based on experience)

• Monday to Friday plus open houses and school events.
