Position: Occasional French Teacher Role at HWDSB
HWDSB invites applications for occasional French teachers for both elementary and secondary levels. This role emphasizes native-like French proficiency and excellent English communication.
We are looking for qualified teachers certified with the Ontario College of Teachers or new graduates awaiting certification. As part of HWDSB's comprehensive French programs, you'll support the Core French curriculum starting from Grade 4 and French Immersion from Grade 1.

Your role will directly influence student comprehension and enthusiasm in various subjects taught in French.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French classes to elementary and secondary students

• Design engaging lesson plans in the French language

• Conduct assessments and report student progress

• Collaborate with staff for curriculum improvement

• Engage with parents regarding student development
Requirements:

• Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers

• Fluency in French and strong proficiency in English

• Completion of French as a Second Language, Part 1 preferred

• Open to new graduates pending certification

• Application includes a cover letter and current resume
