Finish as a Running & Reading Mentor for children in Grades 1-6. This volunteer role is an opportunity to blend literacy and fitness every Thursday.
In this impactful position, you will work ustine Catholic Elementary School, dedicating two hours weekly to support children through fitness and reading activities. Engage in motivating experiences that help students develop confidence, maintain school attendance, and build relationships with peers. Being a runner is not necessary; your mentorship is key to their development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in engaging fitness sessions for participants
• Guide students in one-on-one reading activities
• Assist with healthy snack preparation and serving
• Promote literacy through fun and interactive games
Requirements:
• At least 16 years of age
• Background security check required
• Adhere to volunteer conduct guidelines
• Ensured comfort in commuting to the site
