The School of Labour Studies is seeking a sessional instructor for WRKLAB 4C03 during the Fall Term, from September 8 to December 10, 2026. Focused on public sector unionization and bargaining, this role is designed for candidates equipped with either a PhD or ABD, or MA with teaching experience, and an interdisciplinary outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct classes on public sector collective bargaining
• Cover key topics such as union growth and bargaining rights
• Analyze legal aspects and dispute resolution processes
• Utilize empirical studies to enrich course content
• Mentor students in understanding complex labour issues
Requirements:
• PhD or ABD in a relevant field preferred
• Teaching experience in post-secondary education or labour
• Strong interdisciplinary understanding of labour issues
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
