McMaster University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Sessional Faculty member for Fall 2026. Engage students in power electronics and switching circuit design during this on-campus role.
This teaching position involves structured lectures focusing on power converter configurations and various AC/DC topologies. Candidates holding a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering are preferred, along with strong communication and organization skills. Previous teaching experience is highly valued, and you'll work with a team including four Teaching Assistants throughout the session.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and model basic power converter configurations
• Explain topologies for various power electronics
• Design proper switching circuits for classroom labs
• Coordinate with Teaching Assistants for student support
• Deliver lectures every Friday evening during the term
Requirements:
• PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Relevant background in course topics
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Previous teaching experience preferred
