Technical Instructional Designer

Position: Technical Instructional Designer at Mohawk College
Lead engaging learning experiences as a Technical Instructional Designer at Mohawk College in Fennell. This hybrid role requires expertise in adult education and instructional design to support our new ERP system implementation.

As a Technical Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in Mohawk College's digital transformation. The position involves collaborating with the Change Management team and subject matter experts to create accessible training content across multiple formats, including e-learning and simulations. You will also develop a comprehensive train-the-trainer program, ensuring effective communication and delivery of training materials throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit existing training materials for gaps

• Develop standardized templates for training resources

• Partner with SMEs on designing role-specific curricula

• Create multi-format learning resources for diverse environments

• Assess the effectiveness of training programs

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-year diploma/degree in related fields

• Experience with content authoring software like Articulate

• At least 5 years in instructional design and project management

• Familiarity with Cornerstone and SharePoint systems
