Position: Teaching Assistant for Active Learning
Seize the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant for INSPIRE 2ED3 at McMaster University this Fall 2026. Help students thrive through transformative teaching practices and collaborative activities.

In this temporary role located at Central Campus, you will lead tutorials, oversee labs, and facilitate engaging discussions aimed at fostering a supportive learning environment. Ideal candidates are current students in social science or humanities disciplines who are eager to promote equity and inclusion in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate tutorials and guide laboratory sessions for students

• Attend lectures and prepare instructional content

• Offer student support during office hours and through email

• Invigilate examinations and assist with grading

• Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by instructors

Requirements:

• Must be a current student in social sciences or humanities

• Passion for equitable education and inclusion practices

• Teaching Assistant experience in active learning settings preferred

• Skilled in ethical evaluation and assessment

• Willingness to engage with a diverse student body
